Finally the Barbie clothes are completed, wrapped, and ready to go. There are pictures of most everything below, minus the peach skirt from before and a few more pairs of socks other then the white pair in the "Jeans, Shirt, Shawl, and Socks" picture. I don't think I will feel like knitting with the size 0000 needles for awhile, but maybe the urge will come back sooner then I think. :)

Last night and today I made a Stash-Busting-Scarf. It was a really quick knit and I was happy to use up a bunch of leftover yarn. :) I believe I cast on about 190 stitches on size 13 needle. I had 10 different colors of green yarn and I knit 2 rows with each color and repeated the pattern twice. No fringe was added because it is long enough to begin with. There are plans floating around in my mind to make a pink and red one for Valentine's Day, but I have to check my stash first. Oh, and a disclaimer on the pictures. I had to hold the digital camera VERY still in order to take a picture in the mirror without a flash and have it come out not blurry. The result was a forlorn look on my face, but in reality I was concentrating really hard.

This is the project that I'll start when the Barbie clothes are all done. In fact, I think I might save it for the ride to Tennessee in a few weeks. That would be fun! I got some discontinued Debbie Bliss wool/cotton on sale yesterday in yellow and black. Should be cute even though I'm questioning the rope things that come off top. The bottom picture that has them in a bow is much more appealing to me. Check it out. . .

Barbie clothes are now my new knitting frenzy! I promised Joel's niece that I would make some for her when I was there in Texas last month. Now that Christmas is over I'm finally getting to it. Hopefully there will be many more pictures of other articles of clothing to come. I found a GREAT webpage loaded with patterns. There so cute and I want to make them all. The mohair jacket still needs buttons and snaps. Part of the puffed sleeve shirt needed to be knitted with my size 0000 needles. I was so happy because I hadn't had a chance to knit with them yet. They are metal and So tiny! I was like knitting with actual needles! After a grueling hour or so of knitting the smaller part of the sleeve with them I gave up and switched back to size 0. Funny how big that seems now. The main reason for giving up on them was that I practically dug a hole in my pointer finger while doing it. Knitting straight with them was fine, but I don't suggest doing it in the round. Here is the link to the webpage with all patterns. http://barbiebasics.tripod.com/knits.html

Below are pictures of what I knitted over Christmas. Three pairs of wrist warmers, (I gave the pink ones to my soon to be sister-in-law) a couple of baby hats, and the finishing seams on my green Debbie Bliss baby dress. All it needs now is the ribbon.

Also there is a picture of my great present from my parents. I think Lamb Chop will be a good model for some knitted items later on. :)

Happy Knitting!
