Nothing Much

Since Naomi killed the other computer, I haven't really had the heart to try and post anything. Also, the noises that I hear coming from the direction of the laptop when someone tries to post some pictures doesn't make me want to run in here and try. Everyone is in bed now. It's strange how 11:30 seems so late at night this week. The laptop is in the dinning room and I'm surrounded by wedding paraphernalia. Cake plates, vases, napkins, trays, and the candy buffet containers that pose the big question. "What in the world are we going to do with all of these things?" Storing them is another issue. Tonight we cleared the garage of all things to do with weddings. It didn't take as long as I thought it would. We still have a bit of work ahead of us, and it's all bittersweet in a way. Now the only thing that we have to look forward to is finally being done with everything instead of a big party. The only thing that I am truly dreading is rolling all this tulle back up nice and neat. It is really irksome stuff. One of the few things that I am happy about is not having to wear those nasty wedding shoes again. Every time I see them my feet start to ache. One last happy thought is that I’ve been able to knit more in the past 48 hours then the entire month leading up to the wedding. My birthday is on Friday, and the plan is to get yarn for wrist warmers and a scarf. Maybe this will turn back into a knitting blog after all.

Goodnight!

This isn't going to be funny or long. I'm too tired to care what order I posted pictures in. Every part of my entire body hurts. :P My hands swelled up today (probably from lifting so much and moping so long) that I couldn't get my ring off my finger. That was really weird. It has been a VERY long day, and tomorrow is going to be even worse. After cleaning and setting up at church all afternoon we went out for a quick dinner. When we got back I finished and started another punch ice mold, (We finally got it right thanks to the help of our all-knowing Aunt Val) trimmed the shrubs in the front on the house, (Just a little of the top, nothing major) came in the house to clean some more. That really shouldn't be "some more", it should be A LOT MORE! We didn't finish until 11:00. :P What didn't get done, won't get done. The house seems really clean to me, so I think we made it. No one is going to be able to tell what room didn't manage to have it’s walls wiped. I wanted to get in bed before 1:00 tonight, but it just isn't happening. Mom and I are leaving at 8:00 tomorrow, so we can be there when the rental people come with the tables and chairs. All I have to say is that if any of my sisters go out for coffee on their way to church, they had better bring some for us. We have a scheduled dishing out of caffeine now. Twice a day has become part of the routine. If it wasn't for that I don't think any of us would make it through the day. Time for bed.

Waiting to be seated. Posted by Picasa

Here is where we had dinner. Posted by Picasa

Hannah was cold, (Well, we all were) so Naomi got her the blanket that Dad keeps in the car. Posted by Picasa

Mom, Naomi, Alice, and Hannah had yummy pizza for dinner. Even though Hannah said she was too tired to eat she still managed to have a little. Posted by Picasa

I had a yummy salad for dinner. Posted by Picasa

Here is Hannah and me trying to sleep. Never mind that I was the one taking the picture.  Posted by Picasa

I am thinking, "Why didn't mother have more boys?" Posted by Picasa

That is so posed. Posted by Picasa

Cleaning the floors actually went a lot faster then any of us thought it would. Maybe if we had know we were going to be this tired tonight, we would have danced a little less. :) Posted by Picasa

Poor Alice! She was so brave today. Posted by Picasa

Mom is thinking, "Why are you making me hold this heavy thing so you can take a picture?" Posted by Picasa

Multitasking

I have just reached a new level in multitasking. While I ate breakfast (that was actually more like lunch because I forgot to eat) I polished silver. This seems kind of weird to me. Don't worry though, I ate with one hand and polished with the other. :P

Our new motto is, "More coffee, less sleep." The end of the week will no doubt show that this isn't a good motto.

After some rigorous ironing and dinner we went out to get Naomi's hair cut. On our way home we stopped at Wendy's to get Frosty's. Something bad happened while we were there. The keys got locked in the car. Don't we look happy here? We didn't know that we had locked the keys in the car yet. My brilliant mind had just processed the fact that I am posting some of these in the wrong order. You should start from the bottom if you care to see them in true chronological
order. Phooey!

We still look happy. Posted by Picasa

We aren't happy anymore. This is sort of a posed picture. We all feel like making this face all day long, but then we would run into things. I caught Mom with this look on her face several times today. Let's call it the "Could we possibly think of one more thing to do" face. The hand is a very crucial part because it helps to hold in the brains that we feel are seeping out when we think of something else that we must add to our list of "Things to do before the wedding." Deciding that while we wait for Mom and Dad we should do some star gazing. That was before we knew we were in possession of cards. The light pollution is pretty bad in a parking lot full of lights anyway.

Here is Christine trying to think of a way to get a coat hanger, so we can break into our car. I've heard of this, but have never seen it proven in real life. I'm sure it would have worked, except for the fact that we had no way of procuring a coat hanger after dark.

I am clearly worried. Posted by Picasa

While waiting we played cards. (Naomi always has some in her purse, just in case. Thanks Naom!) The game we played was "Salt Shakers." It is the same as spoons, only you grab the salt shaker instead. Aren't we clever?

Oh, no! They are fighting! I would have won if it wasn't a posed struggle. Posted by Picasa

We got a little carried away as you can see. Posted by Picasa

Naomi and Christine. Posted by Picasa

Driving in the car on the way to get Naomi's hair cut. Yes, we were at a stop light, and yes, we were in two cars. :) Posted by Picasa

Look what they did to the clean living room before I had a chance to put up a sign. Just kidding! Great job, girls! Posted by Picasa

Ironing

I thought that we had a close up picture of Naomi ironing, but we do not. She was going to be "Iron number one", but there wasn't a picture. I don't have time to edit those posts and change the caption.

Disclaimer: What order the ironers are in does not in any way reflect how fast or how well they iron.
