Ornaments

For some reason I've been really into making ornaments this Christmas season. I seem to be getting new ideas everywhere I look. It hasn't really turned into a problem yet, because we've had stuff to make them all on hand. I've only had to buy a few pieces of felt for some owls I'm working on (a post about them will come pretty soon), and that only put me back about 60 cents. :) Anyway, I bought some ornaments tonight. We all went to the General Store before dinner and I got something that I looked at last time we were in there. After bringing them home I realized why they were so special. It is because of an ornament of a mouse that we've had on our tree forever. (see picture below) I remember being little and always wanting to be the one who got to put him up. He may be a little worn and rough around the edges, but I love him just the same as any other year. Maybe even more! The way that his pipe cleaner tail is worn off is so charming! I don't think Mom understands how sentimental we are about some of the things on the tree. I’m looking forward to having something just as adorable on my own tree someday.

Those are very cute ornaments! I know what you mean about being sentimental to ornaments and things. Mothers usually do not understand very well. :-D
