Add the super glue and a small round magnet. 

Apply some pressure for 30 seconds.

Not Knitting

I know this isn’t something knitted, but I had to show this to the blogging world. It has taken quite some time to get around to sewing this thing together, but I finally did it yesterday. I have a great feeling of satisfaction because I was starting to worry about its undone state. Thanks so much to Debbie for helping me through it all. I can’t wait to start another one. Smocking is so much fun! It’s always nice to find something new to do with a needle and thread. Didn’t it turn out cute?

Another Basket Weave

Here are some pictures of another basket weave blanket that I finished on Thursday night. I started knitting it on Easter, so I guess it wasn't too long of a project. I know I have another basket weave blanket, but I love how the Snuggly knits up in that pattern and I need one for every child. ;) After several washings it gets a bit of a matted look and I love a lot. By the way I am very aware that I didn't knit the light pink blanket in the last picture, but I love it so much that it had to go in the group photo.

Busy Bees

Isn't this neat. Here is the caption for the below picture.

Ramekins

People are so nice! Last week I got an unexpected gift of 12 ramekins. A friend of ours knew that I had a kitchen torch and wanted to make crème brulee really badly, but didn't have something nice to put it in. She gave them to me right out of the blue, just because. She said she knew it wasn't just a want, but a need. The next thing fancy that I am going to make will definitely be made in these.

She Knits Too!

I didn’t know that my favorite movie star knitted as well. I came across this picture after a bit of a rabbit trail while searching on the internet. Here is the caption... I Cheated

Yesterday we were at T.J. Max and I bought something knitted that I didn't knit. Shocking, right? It is Carter's brand and cost me only $6.99! How could it be resisted? You are all thinking that it should have been very easy seeing as I have no children, but I will someday, and then I'll be glad that I have this one in storage. It is 100% cotton and just lacy enough to please me. Don't you like it?

Sleeping

My cousin fell asleep on me twice while we were visiting her. The first time she feel asleep I was reading a book and she was listening to rather loud, fast music on my CD player. The second time I was knitting while watching a movie and she came and sat next to me. In less than five minutes she was out like a light. It is hard to knit with a five-year old asleep on your arm, but I tried to ignore the tingly feeling that started after a few minutes and kept on knitting.

I've been gone for what seems like forever. Sorry blogging world! I've neglected you, and I'm sorry. There have been a few trips right in a row, and I won't go in to all of that right now. Coming home from Minnesota is what this post is all about. For as long as I can remember our yearly vacation to Minnesota always included a stop at Mary Maxim in Port Huron, Michigan. As a child I didn't realize how lucky I was. We had to make a quick stop this time, but I could have easily stayed a lot longer! Unfortunately I didn't bring the camera inside to show you how big the yarn selection was getting. Row after row and lovely fibers! They have really expanded the knitting department. I came out with a few things, but I'm not able to post a picture of them at this time because someone might guess what I am making before it's time for them to know. :) You shall all see soon enough.
