I've been meaning to post about this for a long time, but I kept hoping I'd get a better picture. Now that they are virtually done blooming (it's been nearly 3 weeks!), I'll settle for the picture I did get. Anyway, these purple trees are actually called Jacaranda and they are everywhere! They seemed to bloom overnight because I didn't notice them and then all of the sudden there was purple down every street. They are very pretty. I will read more about them.
Oh, those are so pretty! We have those here too, and they bloom about the same time as the wisteria so there's lots of purple flowers around. :) The funny thing is that those look like wisteria except the flowers point up rather than hanging down...so it basically all looks like the same stuff, but growing different directions!
