*I* happen to think that they are carolers. Their mouths are open because they are singing, and they are wearing hats because it is cold outside, and the hats have bells because it is Chrsitmas.
Ok, I admit - I had to stare at them for a minute to figure out what they were, but now I agree with emily. they are very cute!
